Building Information Modeling (BIM) for merchants

Digitalisation is also becoming increasingly popular in the craftsmanship, including when it comes to designing a building. In the future we plan to record all changes made by project participants in a cloud, as is also done with the HERO trader software.

However, this is currently not possible with BIM because the software solutions are not compatible with each other and work is still being done on a uniform exchange format. HERO and BIM craftsman software are generally very similar.

All entered information is also available in the merchant’s software, and each employee has access to the project they are currently working on and can retrieve the necessary information or add new information.

With HERO, as with BIM, you are not tied to a specific device, because the craftsman software can be used on a computer, laptop, tablet or even smartphone. HERO has developed a craft software app specifically for use on smartphones and tablets.

This app contains the most important functions on construction sites. This means that digitalisation no longer takes place only in company headquarters, but increasingly also on construction sites. Regular backups in the merchant’s software make major data loss almost impossible. These properties of the software for craftsmen make the work much easier and this is exactly the goal that Building Information Modeling pursues.

The effort for small businesses is minimal

It’s not just large craft businesses that benefit from digitalisation in the form of software for craftsmen. Especially small businesses with few employees often have to invest a lot of time in office work.

Constantly keeping an eye on a project, knowing the latest status, and having to seamlessly transmit it can lead to the loss of important data. But the HERO craftsman software offers a solution: with it, craftsmen always have everything under control and can concentrate fully on their work. This not only saves time, but also annoying paperwork.
